Jazz Keillor & Shara Hughes

Welcome to Adele Delivers, where I deliver two of my favorite contemporary artists right to your inbox every Friday. Here’s to fostering a deeper connection with art, one artist at a time.

Jazz Keillor

Jazz Keillor is interested in the tension between enjoying the outdoors and the capitalist and colonial constructs that shape our collective understanding of the wild. Whether confronting cognitive dissonance about food or questioning the identity of nature lovers versus mere consumers, her artwork inspires introspection about the way we inhabit Earth. Learn more about Jazz here.

Shara Hughes

Shara Hughes's large-scale paintings are nature untamed. Her style is uninhibited and even messy, which comes across as commanding, not childish. Her saturated wilderness seems to be self-aware, with an understanding of the universe at large, timeless and severe.  Learn more about Shara here.

Thank you for being here! Remember, the clock doesn’t stop. Get outdoors this weekend and enjoy these fall colors while you still can! See you next Friday with more art.
