Fanny Brodar & Caitlin Winner

Welcome to Adele Delivers, where I deliver two of my favorite contemporary artists right to your inbox every Friday. Here’s to fostering a deeper connection with art, one artist at a time.

Fanny Brodar

The holidays are here, drawing us back to the embrace of childhood nostalgia. Amidst the twinkling lights and familiar scents, we navigate the blurred lines between reality and misremembered moments, clinging to the joy that fortifies us through the journey of growing up. Fanny's work has a childlike panache. She snuggles into the safe and cozy place in our subconscious that allows play, creating creatures we’ve seen before, have we seen them before? She gleefully breaks all the rules creating work that is loud, joyful, extraordinary, and full of hope. Learn more about Fanny here.

Caitlin Winner

Caitlin Winner explores family moments with classical styling, think accidental renaissance meets home. Her work reminds me of the line, "A typical day with your child is your child's childhood"—she underscores the beauty and tension of time spent with family. Memories are a romanticized version of the past after all, not a true account, but we hold onto them, replaying them over and over as they shape our adult lives. Learn more about Caitlin here.

Thank you for being here! Last but not least, a holiday greeting from the sundial, “Be as true to each other as the dial is to the sun.” Signing off with a quote I’ve been pondering lately, till next time! XxA

“Changing the insturment is not always the easiest way to change the sound of the music, but it can be the most powerful.”

Rick Ruben, The Creative Act: A Way of Being
