Keita Morimoto & Sergiu Ciochina

Welcome to Adele Delivers, where I deliver two of my favorite contemporary artists right to your inbox each Friday. Here’s to fostering a deeper connection with art, one artist at a time.

Keita Morimoto

These are paintings, yes, regular ol’ brush on panel if you can believe it! Keita uses night-time, realism and light to hint at the sublime, a modern-day Rembrandt. Learn more about Keita here.

Sergiu Ciochina

And if Keita is Rembrandt, Sergiu is certainly Monet using his post-impressionist style to float us off to far-away lands. While Monet brings us to Paris, Normandy, Venice, and London, Sergiu takes us on new adventures to Portugal, Madeira, NYC, Amsterdam and Morocco. Is it time to renew your passport? Do you have a few adventures left in you? Learn more about Sergiu here.

Thank you for being here. Rest well my friend, tomorrow comes early! Till soon. XxA

Sketchboard Looking for a place to draw in Oakland. OMCA offers live figure drawing and artist talks on Thursday nights.

I finally got around to reading this listicle by Sasha Chapin, “50 Things I know”. There’s some great stuff in here like, #43: In social situations, ground your energy, thus making you more charismatic. Without effort, include the bottom of your feet in your conscious awareness, and #11: Don’t ask yourself where your true gifts lie. Ask what other people seem weirdly bad at.

I really like this song: Dennis Ferrer Feat. K.T. Brooks – How Do I Let Go (Original Mix)

And this one: Frankie Knuckles Your Love
